worked at boeing for 5 yrs, the 757, 777 and the 737. transferred to wichata until my wife got sick, then retired to lane, ks. for 10 yrs. moved to buckeye, az. for 5yrs the suncity west for 2 yrs. now live in bonners ferry Idaho, 3 yrs. trying to figure out how to get an elk. I had good luck getting a white tail several times in Kansas. we live 14 miles from montana and 25 miles to Canada. we love it here. it took me 10 yrs to get 5 yrs vesting for retirement at boeing. they layed me off one time for one year, the union payed my way to a jr. college, I took carpentry, 4 hrs. in the morning 4 hrs in the afternoon bldg. a house, what a deal, I loved it. joanne got layed off and we both went to school, tuition payed, we both also got unemployment, what a deal..i have been retired over 42 years from the airforce

yokota was my favorite assignment, what an expierance. that C-141 was a workhorse. my family and I got to watch the first C-5 land. the speed at which they could turn around aircraft, like a well oiled clock. I now wonder how many aircraft on the average we put thru there every 24 hours. I took joanne back to yokota several years ago and she loved it. my adopted son jerry was in japan as a little boy and years later, while working for boeing took his family over there for 5 yrs, he was a auditor, quality control.
