Since from what I understand that we worked in Passenger Service together at Yokota, while I was stationed there from Nov. 69 to Jan. 72 and Lived on Tachikawa, maybe sometime we can talk and get caught up on things.  My phone number is 207-315-5149. Don't see many messages on the Message Forum, I'm guessing that most everyone uses social media nowadays. Anyway, for those of you who, like me, are repulsed by all the crazy stuff and the lack of civility on social media, I will use this old fashioned forum to send my wishes that you had a wonderful Christmas. While the visiting was severely limited by the pandemic, we did have a white Christmas for the first time in a decade here in my part of east Kentucky and it was pretty.

Also, I hope you have a wonderful New Year. This year has certainly had its challenges and I hope 2021 is a better year for all of us. Here's looking to the future!

I certainly agree that for whatever reason--young or dumb--many of us did not realize what a wonderful opportunity it was to serve in a country like Japan with a unit like 610 MASS. Joni Mitchell said it in a song that was popular about the time I was at Yokota. She said, "Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you've got till it's gone..." I am trying not to make that error in the upcoming year! Happy New Year!!!

Enjoyed my two years in the 610th, 69-71 APG 141's, C5's even a little bit on 124's and 133's, got another assignment to Yokota 84-89, started out in enroute then over to the 130 branch.  Still have lots of good memmories of Yokota and the 610th.

Sorry the reunion had to be cancelled.  Just too far for most of us.  I would suggest looking at Branson for next year.  Pretty centrally located.  Also like the idea of the river cruise.

That's me on the left, my first trip to Yokota in 1966.  I was on R&R.  Do you know the other 2?  I'm looking for their names.  I worked with them and they were showing me around.

I'm looking for this old friend - Gordon Brown.  Message me if you know him or where he is.  We worked together at 610 MASS and after the AF we both worked at Lockheed on the C-5 program at Marietta, GA during 1969.  We shared an apartment in Atlanta.

Who remembers this?  It was full of Army 2nd LT's headed to Vietnam as I remember who were in the terminal when this B707 caught fire.  It was totally gutted.

Alton, Agent Orange was shipped to Vietnam on C-141's and occasoinally those barrels were punctured enroute and leaked onto the aircraft. I saw a pallet offloaded  and brought into the air freight warehouse at Yokota because of a leaking barrel. It was sometime in 1969. If you worked on 141's during the time frame that agent orange was being tranported to Vietnam, you could have been exposed.
