Doug was one of my first supervisors in the Air Force after I arrived Yokota for the first time in Oct 1977. I was an A1C and he was a SSgt when I moved from the cargo processing section to the document control center (DCC) in the air freight terminal. Doug took me under his wing and taught me a lot. He was very caring and a great leader and mentor. I last saw Doug at Yokota in 1994 (he was retired but still there working as a civilian). Thanks for all you did for me Doug. You taught me what our great Air Force is all about. Great Airmen who take care of each other! May you rest in peace. God Bless your family. Johnny C. I first meet Doug Haigood in Sep 1973 when we worked together in Cargo Processing in the fairly "new" Air Freight terminal. Doug was a good work mate and an even better guy to have as a friend. After I left the 605 career field in '79 our friendship continued during my later tour at Yokota. Rest in Peace, Doug Haigood you are missed by many friends. John C Love, SMSgt, First Sergeant, USAF,retired.
Doug was a good guy, I got to Yakota in April of 74 and remember him well. I clearly remember transitioning from the old cargo dump to the new facility. Guys like Doug made a tough job fun !
