1970 - 1971

Do you have any favorite stories or notable events to tell us about while you were at Yokota?

Transferred to Yakota Air Base after serving one year at Tachikawa Air Base (609th MASS), which was closed in late 1970. I left Yakota Air Base in late early February 1971 for seperation from service.

Have you ever attended a 610 MASS reunion?

Comments:

I was in the Air Force from June 1966 and discharged on February 14, 1971. I served 2 1/2 years at Elmendorf Air Force base before serving a year at Tachikawa Air Force Base. I had to extend my enlistment 6 months to take my assignment at Tachikawa but it was worth it as I enjoyed my two years in Japan.
