working in radar shop i broke a vaccume tube power supply that contained some radiation i told person incharged and he called in hasmat team which shut the base down for a hour a broken arrow it was called all gates were closed and no aircraft could land or depart at around shift change in morning i was told the radiation was so small they checked with giger counter that the radium on the face of my wist watch was more than what a broke the broken arrow cancled and i thought i was in big trouble nothing happen and they told me go to chow and just be carefull i was scarred and all the guys had a good laugh i will never forget that day
